Alan D. Hirsch

Mr. Hirsch has extensive experience as an investment banker specializing in private and public small cap growth companies, as a savings and mortgage banker and as an entrepreneur. He is currently a partner and officer of Lion Partners, Ltd. From 1980-1989 Mr. Hirsch worked in commercial banking as a lending officer. During that period he financed nearly a billion dollars worth of transactions. In 1986 Mr. Hirsch joined The Savings Bank of Rockland County and was appointed President of the banks commercial lending subsidiary, First American Mortgage. He was also a director. The bank was eventually sold to First Fidelity Bank of New Jersey. From 1989-1993 Mr. Hirsch was an investment and merchant banker specializing in the public small-cap arena. He structured and completed numerous debt and equity transactions ranging from $5,000,000 to $20,000,000. One transaction he financed, which he was also co-founder, was Gigwear Company, Inc. Gigwear, a theme retailer specializing in Rock and Roll memorabilia, licensed apparel, and collectibles was located in Manhattan's trendy SOHO area from 1993 -1998. Gigwear received significant press and celebrity traffic due to Mr. Hirsch's marketing and promotional efforts and he was featured in Entrepreneur magazine. In 1998 he formed United Institutional Investments, Inc. Located in New York, United worked with small and emerging companies. In addition to completing many important transactions through United, Mr. Hirsch served as an advisor to ICE Capital Corp. ICE specializes in the securitization of revenues derived from Internet, Communications and Entertainment/Media companies. ICE's clients included many distinguished Independent Music Groups, Software Publishers, and Independent Film Studios.  In early 2001 United entered into a Joint venture with Wien Group. Inc. the corporate finance affiliate of Wien Securities Corp., a leading (top 5) NASDAQ market maker. where he eventually became the Executive Vice-President. In March of 2004 Wien Securities was sold.

Mr. Hirsch received his BA from the University of Oklahoma and pursued graduate studies at the New School for Social Research in New York. His specialized studies include the School of Mortgage Banking and New York University Real Estate School. He is a member of Friar's Club of New York and is a frequent guest lecturer on Entrepreneurship and Finance. He is the author of A Guide For the Entrepreneur, a motivational and philosophical view of business and success.

 

Joseph Maida

Mr. Maida is an accomplished investment banker with years of market savvy experience with a multitude of private and public companies. He is currently a partner and officer of Lion Partners, Ltd.

Mr. Maida commenced his career on Wall Street and was employed at Reynolds & Co., National Securities and Research and Garvin Bantel. At Garvin he was Director of Investment Banking; his responsibilities included supervision of all managed public (IPO) and private placement financings and evaluation of companies seeking financing.

Prior to joining Lion, Mr. Maida was a principal with Corporate Finance Consulting Services (CFCS). CFCS’ primary function was providing technical trading and market support as well as specialized management services to emerging and developing entities. 

Mr. Maida directs Lion’s trading activities. Typical transactions are purchase of equity, specialty finance including bridge loans and other short-term investments.

Mr. Maida received his BS in Finance from the City College of New York (CUNY) Baruch Business School.
